    • Students learn about technology, information systems, and their role in business
    • Course taught online using online lectures, assignments, blogs, and projects to help students apply what they have learned.
    • Traditional offerings of the course uses interaction lectures, discussions, case studies, blogs, and other assignments to help students apply concepts.
  • ISQA 8210: Managing Software Development

    • Required graduate course for MS MIS students
    • Students examine issues faced by project managers, senior managers, and team members that occur in software development projects
    • Course uses readings, case studies (no textbook) to show students a variety of perspectives and to develop critical thinking and decision making skills in the software project context
    • Relevant course assignments help students gain perspective on some of the challenges that occur in software development projects
    • Clickers (i.e., classroom performance system) are used to encourage discussion and interaction

    • Students participate in experiential class projects to give them perspectives on working and managing in a digital world.  Past projects have included working in virtual teams with students from other areas of the U.S. or around the world.
