Stacie Petter, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Information Systems & Quantitative Analysis

Dr. Stacie Petter is an assistant professor of Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  She earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Information Systems at Georgia State University.  Prior to obtaining her Ph.D., Stacie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Berry College and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University.

Before seeking her graduate degrees, Stacie worked as a help desk coordinator, an application developer, and a senior consultant.  It is this work experience that has inspired Stacie in both her research and teaching.  She seeks to find research that is relevant and useful to both the academic and practitioner communities.  Her current research is based on four research streams:

  • Information systems success & evaluation
  • Software project management
  • Research methodology
  • Pedagogy

She has published her research in a variety of outlets, such as MIS Quarterly, European Journal of Information Systems, International Journal of Medical Informatics, The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems, Information & Management, International Journal of Project Management, and Project Management Journal among others.
