The 100th post on this series (On the
archive page, this post is #99. The
first post was un-numbered, and so
it's considered as post #0, the second
post was numbered 1). Neha Desai 
started this series quite a while
ago...in Dec 1997, to highlight and
discuss some of Hemant-da's songs.
Had it been not for her initiative 
this series would never have existed.

The song in today's post is the 
Hemant solo from Anarkali. Based
on a Heer tune, it is the title song
of the movie. Recently there has
been some discussion on this song,
and since that information is quite
relevant to the song, I am including
it within the ITRANS comment below.
Lyrically, its a very poignant
song too...weaving the tune to the 
melancholic mood of the theme of
the movie.

Also, with this 100th post, I am 
taking a respite from posting on 
the series for sometime. All the
