Another geet from Hemant's early career. Hemant's geets were quite popular in the 40's and he was known more as a basic-song singer before he made his mark as a playback singer. The song in this post is a fast paced number with heavy orchestration as compared to the amount of orchestration present in other Hemant songs. The tune sounds belligerent almost like a marching tune, but Hemant brings out the sense of sadness wonderfully especially when his voice floats in the 'yaad hame.n kyo.n aatii ho' refrain at end of each stanza.
