halake halake chalo saa.Nvare

Continuing the chain of Hemant-Lata duets with a very lively song, probably the only ghoRa gaRi song of Hemant Kumar. This song has a softness about it which endears it to me. Unlike the other ghoRa gaRi duets that I can just pop off the top of my head - OPN's Maang ke saath (Naya Daur) and SJ's mai rangeela pyaar ka raahi(Chhoti Bahan), it is completely devoid of the "rrrrr, hurrrrrr"-s of the male singer. Guess that would never have suited Hemant Kumar's voice, and how well his voice suits the smooth flow of the song - not a bumpy ride on a horse carriage but a smooth sail on a musical chariot. Here is the song:

l: halake halake chalo saa.Nvare
pyaar ke mast havaa_o.n me
dil ko ye Dar hai.n pehalaa safar hai.n
in alabelii raaho.n me

h: halake halake chalaa naa jaa_e
pyaar ke mast havaa_o.n me
jab tak hai.n dam chalo chale ham
Daal ke baahe.n baaho.n me \threedots

l: ba.Dane lagii dil ki dha.Dakan
Dol rahaa kyo.n meraa tan man haay meraa tan man
h: tu hii baata chain kahaa.N jab laagii lagan
dil bhii hai teraa jaa.N bhii hai terii
jab se basii ho nigaaho.n me \threedots

h: tu ma.nzil mai raahii teraa
tere binaa kyaa jiinaa meraa kyaa jiinaa meraa
l: TuuTe kabhii naa chhuTe kabhii ye saath piyaa
pyaar kii kasam sa.ng rahe.nge ham
niil gagan kii chhaa.Nv me \threedots
