Starting the new millennium with the first Hindi song of Hemant Kumar - a very soft and lilting melody. The influence of Pankaj Mullick and Jagmohan's voice is clearly evident in Hemant Kumar's early voice. Hemant Kumar always avoided singing songs from his early career, but surprisingly, he never evaded this song. Here then is a gem from Kamal Dasgupta sung by Hemant Kumar 60 years ago:
