Yet another duet of this genius, this time with Geeta Dutt. I tried to think of a duet with someone other than Lata, Geeta and Asha, lekin abhi koi handy nahi hai, so we will have to do with one of these co-singer. I think I will go back to solos for some time after this one. Nothing exceptional to note about the duet, except that it is quite pleasant, playful and melodious(something that comes by rarely nowadays) specially with the Geeta touch added to it. A S.Mohinder composition and written by Raja Mehdi Ali Khan, this song is from a 1952 movie SHRIMATIJI. Simple lyrics, simple tune, simple pleasure in listening to it. The funny thing to note is that after the first antara, Geeta gets to sing Hemantda's part of the mukhda, but Hemantda doesnt sing Geeta's part of the mukhada ever in the entire song..probably something to do with the lyrics:)) Here go the lyrics:
