Associate Professor
Email: pchundi@mail.unomaha.edu
Phone: 554-4987
Office: PKI 281A
Teaching: I usually teach
the graduate courses on i) design and
analysis of algorithms and ii) information retrieval
systems. I also teach the
undergraduate course on introduction to database management systems.
Research
Interests: text mining, temporal mining, bioinformatics, replicated and
distributed databases.
Current
Research Project: Currently I am working mainly on extracting temporal
information from time stamped documents. This work is supported by NSF.
More details of the project can be found here. This
work has been applied to document sets such as TDT-Pilot Corpus, Reuters
News articles, NSF abstracts, Pubmed abstracts,
ENRON Email data set as well as software repository data such as Mozilla,
Apache, and Eclipse.
