Teaching: I usually teach CSCI 8080 (Algorithms), CSCI 4850/8856 (Introduction to Database Systems), and CSCI 8340 (Databases Systems II). In Fall 2005, I am teaching 8080 and 8340.

Research Interests: moving object databases, data mining, bioinformatics, replicated databases.

Past Research: In my thesis, I studied the primary copy approach to replication and primary-backup protocols. After completing my Ph.D, I worked at Hewlett-Packard Labs and Agilent Labs in Palo Alto, CA and focused mainly on data mining. Here are some of my papers and patents.
