Dr. Gert-Jan de Vreede is a Professor at the Department of Information Systems & Quantitative Analysis at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is also the Director for the Institute for Collaboration Science, an inter-disciplinary institute set up in 2006. In addition, he is affiliated with the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands from where he received his PhD. In 1996 he was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Management Information Systems at the University of Arizona. In addition, he works as an international consultant in the area of collaboration and collaboration technologies.
